We cleaned a Japanese beach! #trashtag
★Cat Merch! crowdmade.com/collections/junskitchen
- I know Japan is thought to be an extraordinarily clean country, but even here there are spots of litter or trash that can get out of control. So we cleaned up a beach for #trashtag! We ended up picking up over 8,100 L of trash (mostly plastic), not even including all the fishing nets/tarps/whatnot. We'll be continuing these cleanups in Fukuoka, Japan every month so visit cleanup.ciclo.jp/ if you want to join our next one!

Literally was hard cause in American English, when you say it fast the letters sound change like on “internet”. So the first “t” in literally sounds like a hard spanish R, then the r is soft like english r. Crazy

What kind of monster designs a squat toilet. THE POINT of a toilet is so you have a safe, secure place away from the wife and kids to read your newspaper in PEACE. How else are you supposed to catch up on the local sports results? By hearing it from friends? Unconscionable.

This is why Jujutsu Kaisen is a based story, it shows how the women fighters were more capable than men, not because women are better than men, but because due to sexism the standards to pass the tests were much higher set for women than for men, so the women who DID pass were exceptionally skilled. It shows just how frustrating sexism can be, too. Far better than other stories where sexism is just played for laughs.

I always thought that Japanese men were rather short in height, 1.70 tall at most, I was pleasantly impressed when a group of Japanese executives arrived at my hotel who were coming to the country to test some cars about to go on the market, my God! one more handsome than the other and they were all about 1.80 tall, I had eye problems from opening my eyes so wide to see them, they were Gods, may Rachel forgive me, but you are too.

I have a non-binary female body. I'm not liked by either men or women. Because I look like a woman from the outside, I have experienced sexism as a woman. I've been disliked when I got a man's haircut. I feel like people think I look childish if I don't wear makeup, and it's not well-received as it makes me immature as a person and shows poor manners. It's a double pain.

In spanish, we'd say "you have to APROVECHAR that your parents are still alive" to convey the feeling of acknowledging the fortunate situation you are in, and to MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT. "Be grateful" isn't enough because it doesn't bring the "NOW THAT I STILL CAN, I gotta visit them and call them more often" feel. Same with its antonym DESAPROVECHAR, especially used when you take something for granted and you do NOT MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT. Wasting (desperdiciar) an opportunity comes close but I feel like it's expressing the frustration of the fact that you're an idiot for wasting it rather than the realisation of what you could've done with it.

👋 Hello! I'm a fellow American 😊 I just recently subscribed to your channel so I'm not sure where she's from but I'm from New Hampshire and we're one of the safest states in the country, we also have an open carry which means we do not need a permit to carry a gun around like other states do so many of us in New Hampshire frequently carry guns, we also do have a car inspection requirement and have to pay 2 fees every year 1 to register the vehicle and 2 to inspect the vehicle, I live in an area with a lot of nature, mountains, rivers, waterfall, and so on, also here it is common to see black bears and we tell people to leave them alone they're easy to scare off and if you just wait to let them pass they will, there's many deer, birds, foxes, squirrels, fishercats, wolves, coyotes, sometimes a bobcat and more! I have Japanese friends (and someone I really like romantically who's Japanese) but things I hear from them is most of the time they are only aware of cities especially the big ones in America such as NYC, LA, and LV but not much about the rural areas/ states, they also aren't aware and used to understanding that America is very large and we have multiple types of accents, sometimes each state has one of their own, northern accent versus southern accent, we don't have many public trains in America which is a misunderstanding only big cities are like this most of us have to get to places by driving in the car, one of the things I heard that was interesting for a culture shock that they told me was about how we never leave our children or let them go out alone, they need to always be accompanied by a trusted adult, we are very protective of our children and America has a bad history of serious crimes relating to children so we do not allow them to roam free if unattended, also strangers saying bless you if you sneeze! I'm not sure what else, it is also very commong for women to walk with a weapon or item for self defense! Oh and we consider it rude if you bump into us without saying excuse me or oh I'm sorry 🙏. We will be sassy back to you and we're opinionated and most of the time speak our minds very openly.
